Street artist David Shillinglaw is interviewed in HuffPost Art and Culture section. He discusses his inspirations, aesthetic influences, his new book The Dance of 1000 Faces and how his work reflects his own personal thoughts and experiences.
Shillinglaw explains the importance of words and language in his abstract pieces. He also discusses how " the art [he] makes looks back at the audience, so there is a visual conversation", Shillinglaw explains why he includes such expressive eyes in his work stating: "The eyes are magic to me. They are best camera you will ever own.".
